another jam monster.
An Italo-disco monster.
Masterfully sped up just enough. "Enough for what?" you might say.
Well, play it at a fiesta and you'll figure it out soon enough, naysayer.

non-tribute.
I know a lady named Carmen. She's from Canada. I'm mildly sure that she once told me that she aspires to become a doctor and (Carmen, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here) change the face of modern medicine and alternative healing methods.
Or maybe not.
One of my aunts is named Carmen as well. She is way rad and cooks very well. (Perhaps not as well as her sister, Migdahlia. [We just call her Mickey] But since her name is not Carmen, we'll just leave her out of this one. Sort of.)
Both named Carmen, neither the singer of this track. (Once again, corrections if necessary, please.)
My new favorite party jam of the Spring.

revisiting old bros.
So if you (or anybody for that fact) were to ask me what my favorite song of last year was, I would say "_______ ________" by The xxxxxxxs.
And I'd be lying.
I've only recently come to the realization that it is this song. By the Chromatics. An amalgamation of a bunch of things that I hold dear to me, (post-punk gloom, disco drum & bass shuffle, and great female vocals) all together. And not in some horrid mash-up form. But dark and shimmering beauty.
Sort of like a slow dance at a party where the disco ball has been covered in with one of Stevie Nicks gypsy scarves.

red wine airwaves.
Holy shit, these guys great. Thirty focused, gnarly minutes.
Sort of scary. In the best way possible.
I freaked out so bad that my one of my kicks came off.
The lead dude came out with a bunch of black baloons, lampooned people for being more into taking pictures than getting rad, and threw a bottle of wine into the (sold out, i.e., packed) crowd.
Fuck yeah.

machine gun funk.
by Ted Stenson:
This is kind of funk but with a chill out vibe. Sort of a cross of MC Hammer and some Flashdance shit.

sensuality lite.
I went out with a girl last week, but instead of just posting another depressing Bonnie 'Prince' Billy song, (namely "Death To Everyone") I've decided to go with the antithesis of those dreaded five hours or however long it was (too long.)
A Kiss cover. Done by girls. More importantly, a certified jam.
